Sounds like you might need to adjust the trigger for more engagement?

IIRC it's cos you haven't removed the washers inside the piston.

You';ll need to strip it down, then poke a screwdriver or similar through the cocking slot inside the piston - there'll be 2 or 3 washers in there.

Poke 'em out and reassemble - gun should now cock.

Check the "ears" on the cocking lever where it engages with the piston (the things you have to pinch together to get through the slot ) - if they're sharp you might need to file them down a little to prevent scoring of the ram body

On my .22 lightning theres a metal cover that locks onto the trigger. I cocked the gun without the spring and it took me a while to get the the bit of metal back down. I had to mess with the trigger for awhile before it would go back down.
Take the gun apart again and check that the metal bit that fits inside the gun where the ram goes is correct and aint moved around or something.
I'm thinking it will be something todo with that.

Have a look and tell us what you find

**EDIT** : I told someone to make sure all the washers were removed before the ram was inserted in another post. Alot of people seem to be modding their lightnings with gas-rams lately

Im happy with mine and the bunnies are getting less so thats all that matters
