    congrats on the dedicated forum

    Nice to see more people's interests catered for.
    Hope to be included in this section soon.
    I have asked for advice once already, and here is another question....
    After trying out some pistols last night I have decided that Co2 is not for me. They seem like good fun but was really not very accurate. (sorry).
    Tried a pcp target pistol and though I was very impressed, again it didn't seem the choice for me. Too techy.
    I did how ever try a hw40 and fired proper groups(every pellet in a 20mm group). This was my first attempt with a pistol and am extremely impresed.
    The question is ,,,, Is this a good reliable pistol that will be accurate from the box(after sight tweaks obviously). I do hope replies are favourable as this pistol felt spot on.
    Many thanks for reading.

    The HW40 is a great Choice, the Beeman P3 is the same Pistol made in germany with the same parts but badged as a beeman for the U.S market and is normally a bit cheaper than the HW40, the Beeman 2004e mentioned by Andy is again basically the same but not as good quality and made in china.

    The HW45 is a great pistol if you get a chance to try one.
    Fancy shooting your air pistols & rifles a bit more, then guy's & gal's come visit us at the

    Thanks chaps.......
    Have had a look and think the beeman might be a risk, but the gamo seems to be sorted.
    Could you please inform me as to the power ratings of these pistols(hw40 and gamo). As have read many differing reports/reveiws.
    the hw45 is a little expensive to be honest.
    The hw40 certanly seemed more powerful than 2.5fbl as is stated in some write ups.
    Thanks again for your time

    Hi Sean....I bought a brand new HW40 PCA a few weeks ago and I love it...definitely a keeper. Extremely accurate as no recoil....yes, you pay more for the Weihrauch badging but they hold their secondhand value.
    All you need to know is in this respected review;
