Jackal Super Target Side Lever Air Rifle

I’ve been offered a old (1970) Jackal Super Target Side Lever Air Rifle.
I’m thinking it might make a good project but can anybody tell me anything about these guns?

    What’s the trigger like ?
    Can I get Parts?
    Were they ever accurate?
What are they like to work on?
    What’s it worth?

    Regards Ora

Sussex Armoury were the forerunners of AA. Didn't think they went that far back though ?
    I'm telling you it moved!

    sussex armoury

sussex armoury was founded in 1968 their side lever rifles are more or less identical to the later airarms badged models' but the earlier rifles used hammerli made barrels & the airarms models used walther barrels i think airarms took over the company around the early 80's.
the side lever models were quite good consistent & accurate one of the better tap loaders around they are not bad to work on but their trigger & safety rachet mech's could be a handfull to a novice' the only real problem i've come across over the years was their plastic trigger blade which often broke if mistreated' also they dont like stronger springs it makes them shoot awfull & in time ruins the rifle' they dont like gas rams as well no matter what some people say.

I did a piece on Air Arms rareties which should help you (in answer to a question from Russ Best in the US) some time ago but appears to be lost in BBS server upgrade (like most of my old posts)

can the mods recover please ?
