    airsporters

    Airsporter models
Can anyone tell me if it was possible to get one of the later Airsporters (possibly MkV11) with stock chequering to the forend and grip.
I know the S models had this but were any others fitted with such a stock and if so were the stocks beech or walnut?

The EB is also a Club.
The GC a transitional between the MK1 & Mk11. Obvious difference is Mk1 etching with a MK11 barrel.

I'm not convinced that the info in John Knibbs's book is 100% correct!

    Airsporters

    Thanks Roger
    I will amend the above.
I believe that the prefixes shown in his book for the RB2 models may be incorrect

The 'E' Club model should not be associated with any other series or letters or numbers, as it is the only model with a shorter cylinder.
From 'EA' onwards, Airsporters used the same length cylinder, even though 'EA' & 'EB' are still Airsporter Club models.
My RB2 Stutzens have the prefix 'WT' for the .177 & 'AWT' for the .25.

I've only seen one MkVII airsporter and this has chequering to the grip behind the trigger guard, none to the fore end. I think the stock was beech. 'S' models have fore and aft chequering in a walnut stock.
