Slavia 622.

Just been given this rifle,anyone know how old they are.My guess is about 40 years.It's red with rust on the outside and the stock is well worn but could be rescued i suppose.
It's very small and light but still cocks and fires with a good barrel lockup and the bore and rifling look very good.I had a look on the net and it looks like they are still being made,although updated a bit,but not in .22 like this one.

Not sure when they first appeared,but i got one 33 years ago as a Birthday pressie,my first Airgun ,and like you managed to get hold of a rusty banger the other week,going to tart it up and hang it on the wall.

Your right that it's probably about 40 years old (1950-1958 approx). I have several variants in good condition. The ones CZ currently make are the 630, 631 and 634. They are a good solid little springer. If you decide to get rid, let me know as I would be interested... otherwise, good luck with the restoration. There's a bit of history in the link below.

i think the one i customised was a 622..... chrono'd at a stagering 1.2fpe!

is the one you have like a junior rifle (similar size to a small cometa?) the one i did is now being used to teach a friends grandkids to shoot.

Yes it is a junior,i just sold it to a friend for a tenner and i thought i was doing him at that.
