    A good HFT scope?

I am sure this has been asked a million times before but what would a good choice of scope be for HFT, and why (without getting too technical).

    Cheers in advance.

Something with mil dot to assist rangefinding
Something at about x8 to 10 mag

Best value is Hawke Varmint range (£50 second hand)

Getting popular are the x10 sniper scopes

Gary is dead right on the mag, but as an alternative and being a bit of a quality optic junky try looking for a PECAR champion E S/H they do 10x35, 8x45, 10x45 and 12x45. s/h will be about £180/200 York guns have a mint 8x45 for £190. New just over £300 These are optically in the premier league compared to the "sniper" models do not have PX adjustment, which is not needed. BUT have owner interchangeble reticles, which means you can choose what suits you. They are also about half the weight of a sniper. The 10x35 is brighter than the sniper models and can be mounted a lot lower over the bore centre, which makes nearby hold over, easier to estimate.
