    Thanks for your efforts John.

    I looked at my old one to see how it was made ,compared to yours ,and found a battered pellet stuck in the end!
    Got it out and it was a Superdome that I don't use.
    Somebody must have fired it knob on!

    Even I am not that daft!

    I wonder if there's anybody still making a cocking knob for the LP53?

    Or if anybody has one that they'd sell?

    That would be good, here's hoping.

    I've recently acquired my first ever LP53, and it seems a fine pistol.

    I'm using a folded cloth as a 'hand protector' for cocking it at present.

    I would be interested.

    Alternatively you can get them from the US but a bit expensive for what they are.
