sorry guys im not going to be able to make this one.

ill be busy with the scouts, its quite important, long story but basically the main leader is a complete waste of space, ive been picking up his slack for ages, he f'ked off for the whole summer so all the scouting activities that id planned had to be canceled because of lack of numbers of leaders( legal requirement), ive found someone else to help out now so im trying to selvage whats left of any decent weather, (yes i know its wales) so we are going away that weekend and the weekend after. and tomorrow we will be setting stuff on fire and playing with sharp things

Hello all,

Sorry I've not been 'active' in the Stoke Mandeville refurb of late but I'm afraid I couldn't be in two places at once, and sadly I still can't. I'd planned to be there this time for certain, until I discovered that last year I'd promised to attend a wedding in Norwich on Saturday, and a friend's 40th birthday party in Birmingham the same night. On Sunday, I'm supposed to be helping my dad sort out our local churchyard AND be part of a work party at my fishing syndicate.

I wanted to be at this one for another reason, too. I want to take the final photos for the article I'm doing for Airgun World, to show what we've all achieved at Stoke Mandeville, and to pay tribute to the wonderful people who made it happen. I'm determined to do this, and I want to do it right, so that means having as many of the good folk who helped there as possible. I really want the SM wrecking crew to take a much-deserved bow.

So, is there another work party planned to finish off the main jobs, where I can come and help, plus take the photos I need to complete the article? Sorry to be a pain, but we've all invested part of ourselves in this project and I'm treating this article as a personal mission. You've been magnificent and that's how I want to portray you.
