    Guys,

I'm getting more than a little concerned about the safety of those driving long distances.

Here is a Met Office forecast for Aylesbury for the weekend.

At this moment in time I think a postponement would be wise.

    More forecasts to come......

Just got in, was away in Leicester, 9 other gangs bailed, no foreman were turning up, snowing like buggery here.

Don't blob just yet Pete, wait till late tomorrow.

If I can I WILL make it.

I'd be reyt arsed off if we can't make it.

    Me too mate.

I'll have a chat with Rosie and decide what to do.
She and Keith are planning to turn up at around 14:30 so we have to make a decision before then.

Keep an eye on this thread.

Drove from Anglesey to Gloucester today A55, M56, M6 and M5 are clear.

The 40 and 42 are probably more interesting to drive on being more central

Okay, I've spoken to Rosie and we've agreed that it should continue...

However, we will think nothing less of anyone who is reticent to make the long distance journey because of the weather - we totally understand and respect any decision you make. There's no pressure, okay, so please make your own decisions if you're travelling a long way.

Rich and Simon need to state if they won't be needing their rooms. If they don't need them, Rosie can arrange that the booking be released to someone else to use.

Please also consider that allowing time to get home must be taken into account.

Hope to see you all there.

    Pete,
Would it be more sensible to postpone the work party? The numbers are likely to be low anyway, with 4 key people otherwise engaged How many people are actually committed to this weekend?

The trouble is, mate, we've got a delivery of material that is 99.9% likely to turn up. The merchants have got Rosie's and my numbers in case they can't find us, which is highly unlikely as they've been to us 3 times before.

This needs paying for when they deliver it.

Rosie and Keith are coming, as will I be. You will be turning up on Saturday sometime (unless things change) whilst Steve G is coming, as will Steve and Julie unless it's impossible for them. Kev is also looking positive.
Richard is keen to keep an eye on the weather.

For me to make the call to cancel will depend on those coming from afar, mate. I can't make that shout without knowing what other folk want to do, that's why I'm leaving it to them to make their own call.

At the very least we'll be able to clad the internal walls with the ply that's being delivered.

    Pete.

PS: if the roof still has lots of snow on it or is deemed unsafe, then nobody will be going up there.

Did anyone call Rosie at home this afternoon? She was called by an Angus about this weekend, at least that's what we think the caller said - Keith took the call.
