    June's Pistol Competition

Thank you for taking part in the first comp welldone to everyone! There's some changes for this competition. There will be four categories, just need to know your criteria for each one. If your name's not down, you're not coming in

I've set the date as follows.

    Competition:Saturday 31st May - Saturday 7th June
(That people shoot at the club, they have two saturdays)

Submit Scores: Saturday 31st May - Saturday 7th June
(By PM only the latest being 7th 16:00 or score won't count, once ALL scores are in they will be made public, gives it more suspence. )

    Public Scores: Sunday 8th June

I just need your PISTOL,TYPE & CALIBRE that is being used

I think that will be enough entries for Spring, Single Stroke, Co2 & PCP for me to handle. Sorry for anyone who was thinking of partcipitating.

If you can see PCP & Single Stroke has a different percentage merit than the other two categories. You were all to good with the Single Stroke on the last one

    The rules :

Type: Spring Pistol / Single Stroke Pistol / Co2 /PCP (to be stated when submitting score).

    Sights: Open sights only

Stance: Top two targets two handed / Bottom two targets one handed (that way it caters for everyone & abit different)

Targets: Follow link on post #1 >HERE< using the target with 4 targets on it.

Range: Set at 6yds (That is the longest I can shoot in the back garden)

Shots: 10/15 practice shots, then 5 shots per target

Date: Anytime in the first week of every month. Starting May 31st.

Scoring: If the pellet breaks into two points i.e 8 & 9, you score the highest number

Final scores: PM me with scores by Saturday 7th 16:00.
(earlier the better, so I can keep up to date easier)

Update scores: I'll put on the thread Sunday 8th.

If anyone has any questions just let me know & good luck.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm still running a virtual badge system, according to the scores that we get.
    They are as follows :-
    http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...ercentages.jpg

I will have all your scores worked out in percentage & award the relative virtual badge.

This Months badge design will be done by Firestorm.

Then each month someone else can design a different set of badges.

    Regards
    Paddy.

    Hi Paddy,
No option for all 4 then?
OOPS! Just realised you can tick as many boxes as you want

If allowed I'll do all 4 with the following:-

SSP = Gamo Compact .177 Hobby
    Spring = HW45 .177 Hobby
PCP. = Rohm Top .177 Hobby
    CO2 = Drulov DU10 .177 Hobby

    Last 2 subject to testing.

    Cheers

    John

    Hi Paddy

Looks like an interesting variation (the two-handed & one-handed bit), so please log me for a 'go' in the June round.

I'll be shooting an HW75 (girlie calibre) - so in the SSP class.

Do we have to stick with a nominated pellet? Not a big issue but, depending on my mood and time of the month, I have tended to switch between RWS CO2 Target and Dynamit Nobel Diabolokugein fur Gewehre und Pistolen (fit that in your box )

I won't have to download the target .... as t'was mine in the first place , originally produced for Pollythedog's comp which ends this month (and for which I must get shooting!)

    Hi Biggles

Well I can't really say no to you as they were your targets in the first place

As for the pellet thing, you can change if you like. You can either leave it blank or let me know when submitting your scores.

I've updated my sheet, but not the BBs one.

    Regards
    Paddy.

    Hi Paddy

I'm up for some of this. Can I enter 3 categories?
    Spring: Feinwerkbau 65
    SSP: HW75
    CO2: Walther CP88 Competition

All .177 and at the moment all 3 will be with RWS CO2 target pellets, but this may change.

Could you just clarify a couple of things please. This is June's competition, but will run only between 31st May and 7th June. After scores submitted on 7th, that's it; comp over for June.

On the targets there is a ring inside the 10 (10.1 ring?). I take it this will not be used in this comp?

    Cheers

    Hi.

I've put you in the 3 categories you asked for. I'll try & update the BBs sheet in abit.

& you're basically answered your own questions there.

One of my per usual typo errors that I've worded this as 'July's Competition' it should read 'June's competition'

I'm surprised no one has picked that up sorry.

To Clarify the comp is only run within 31st -7th, send me the scores by PM by 16:00 on the 7th. Then that is it until the first week in July. & as you say the 10.1 ring doesn't count.

    Regards
    Paddy.
