    Walther LP3 repair?

Mornin', All - a few weeks ago, a very kind person sent me a PM and included the name, but not the address, of a specialist who may have been able to repair my Walther LP3, #24014, whose piston seems to have died. It is almost a one-finger job to cock it, so either the piston has died the death, or a valve has gone the same way.

An address with a name would be VERY helpful, as I like to shoot it in vintage air weapon competitions

I also have an Original Model 10, an EMGE LP3, two LP53s and my trusty FAS604, the only survivor of a set of FAS three pistols that I used to shoot in UIT competitions before the ban.

The FAS is currently on long-term loan to a member of our local pony club, and very well she is doing with it, too.

Well they are big, shouldn't be too hard to hit.

Sir - are you being intentionally insulting to a visitor to this forum?

Can I expect more of this from you? If so, why?

I have never written anything to cause you upset, or are you just one of the people that takes offence at anything to prove how superior you are?

I am here to learn and to obtain information, not to engage in 'nyah-nyah' grade-school humour with a person who thinks he is a wit, but is only half-right.

Chill out and lighten up mate, it's something we tend do on here and brings a smile to many. Its called banter, and if I say so myself, as a rule, we're bloody good at it as you'd find out at any of the airgun events, in particular HFT

The polite reply might be "lol" and would not have got you the reply "mardy-arse."

Be a bit more "tac" full and you'll get a lot more help

I concur with you about the Fas604 though, super pistols, especially the earlier models. I have one which my youngest uses in Pentathlon and I also have one which is up for sale to the right buyer, again used previously in Pony club events.

    Lp3

    Hi Tac

The Walther LP2/LP3 expert is Lawrie Amatruda who has fitted new piston seals/heads and ex. valves to pistols of many members on here(including me)
I think his user name is his actual name so try a search
If you are unsuccessful, then pm me and I will dig out some correspondance from repairs that he has done for me

He does a splendid job,his charges are very reasonable and he does a quick turn round of the repaired action

Alternatively go onto the Collectors section and he is well known on there for his expertise on pneumatics and CO2 guns. Someone will know his e-mail address
    Good luck

    Tac,

    Sir,

I apologise unreservedly for my distasteful humour, and throw myself at your feet in the hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.
Never again shall I respond to your enquiries with such lack of thought for your feelings. I hope this demonstration of my remorse will convince you that I am worthy of intelligent conversation at some future point betwixt us, and that, given time, we may even become friends on this wonderful forum.

Dear Mr John - many many thanks!!!!!! I bought it new in 1982, and I'm very attached to it. Being only a mediocre shot I have never won anything with it, but I DO like the solid feel. To make it feel a little more like my long-lost Walther GSP I have a couple of weights on the barrel....

PS - I e-mailed him and got a response back right away! I'll be sending it off tomorra!
    How's that for service?
