    You are correct

The' bring and buy table' (often called a stall) was a suggestion from Dogsbody given to me by pm and then conveyed to you in post 10 of this thread

    Let me say again:

The commission charges apply ONLY to items sold by the club from the separate bring and buy table/stall I will make this clearer in post 30

    i missed that bit!

how is that going to be controlled?

Are you basically saying you want 10% of the sales? NO

I am prepared to travel 2 hours ( deisel now £1.30 a litre ) PAY for a table ( £24 )to put on a show to get this event going.

And then you want 10% of the takings? Tell me I have got this wrong?

    If not count me out.

    regards john

    That is incorrect John

There would be no commission charges on items you bring and sell from your table

The commission only applies to items sold by the club from a separate 'bring and buy table'. The bring and buy table is there for those who do not want to hire a table. It is an ideal way of selling just the odd item or two and the table will be manned by the club and not the sellers

I hope this clarifies the issue

    Where is it?

    Hi
Maybe I missed it in a senior moment, but where is the fayre to be held?

Mention is made of 'my local club' but as one who does not know all local clubs in that area I do not know which is being referred to. A trawl through the thread pages has drawn a blank...

So where is it, please, as my daughter and I intend to come along to suport the 'sellers' and have some fun in the competitions.

'pre-war' ... is that pre 1939 or 1914 as I believe we could do both?

    Cheers, Phil

    Location

    Hi Phil
I have tried to save a map from Googlemap of the range location but with no luck so far. I will however persevere.

The range is in the Dowry Hill quarries which is where we run our field target shoots(2 or 3 a year)

This is about half a mile outside of Groby village and is on the Newtown Linford road, just off the A50.

The location is described on the flyer, see below -

http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/c.../FlyerJPEG.jpg - Click image to zoom in.

I will also show this link in post 1, but hopefully I will work out how to show a map on here shortly

We are next to Groby Pool car park and on the LHS of the road when going towards Newtown Linford from Groby

With regard to the 50 yard competition, pre-war will be before WW2

I hope to see you there
    John

As an extra to the previous message, I just found you, or at least 'linford newton lane' using multimap.
Just enter linford newton lane, groby into the search facility.
    Cheers, Phil

    Hi
That is north of where the range is.

The post code for the range is LE6 0EA .

The range is just north of the A50(about 300 yards) and is on the LHS of the Newtown Linford road before a LH bend (which is south of the Groby Pool)

The Airgun Fayre is a great idea and I hope it will be a big success. For sellers, it is far less hassle than selling piecemeal through the post. For buyers, it will bring together some great items for sale. Plus a chance to shoot, too!

Hi John, as per my email, please put me down for a table....cheque is on way...I am 90% sure of attending barring work dramas, but if unable to, I will contact you sat by 5pm at the latest...in this eventuality, please put the fee to good use, or prehaps allow others to use my table for overspills etc....P.S. are their any seats, or should I bring a couple of folders with me as my earlier years on motorbikes have finally caught up with me!.....best regards, eddie

    Ok ;
This is what I will bring tomorrow, no price list because it will be face to face only.
I am back into full bore shooting again after meeting up with an old army mate, so unfortunately most of my airgun collection must go, most of them are duplicates.

    Diana G80 .22
    HW35 E .22
    BSA Airsporter .22
    BSA Meteor .22
    Webley Falcon .22 1960’s
    Webley Hawk MK II .22
B3-4 Chinese lion .22 ; This is a bonus bunny, cleaned up and fettled. Good for plinking and fun.
Webley Tempest .22 in a leather box with a brand new fore end grip.
Crosman 1377 .177, a multi pump pistol fitted with pro block mounts, ready for a red dot or pistol scope.
    Webley Junior .177 smooth bore,
Webley Senior .22; The original baker light grips have chips so are fitted with some very nice walnut grips.
BSA Scorpion .22 with full open sights and cocking aid
Hawke RD 30 red dot sight
And loads of bits n bobs
Hope to have some fun shooting my Webley Osprey,
    See you all on Sunday

    Hi John
After servicing my Setra and practising with it at every opportunity ready for the big event tomorrow, I now find I can't make it (8 miles away).
I'd just like to wish you and those attending all the best and hope all goes well on the day.
