I realise that some people dont think that this is a great idea but the idea is for people to be able to see what works best in ther gun, if people put down size of groups then much of the size of the group will be as a result of the shooters ability. Those of you who are very experienced will be getting muh tighter groups than people who have not been shooting long. Therefore if people put what groups best then that goes somewaay to eliminate the problem of shooters ability.
I have now finnished my GCSE's so I have more free time and if there are still people out there who think this is a good ide then please add to the list and I will keep adding them to the website.
Thanks,
Toby

Mate it's a nice idea and I didn't mean to rubbish the idea. It's just that if someone thinks Milbro Caledonians group well then all that tells us is that they don't know what grouping well is and it could lead to some poor bugger going out and buying some!
The thing about fidning the best pellet is that it has to be done from a bench or in some way supported so as to take as much of the a shooter out of the equation.
That given, providing group sizes is helpful and gives some frame of reference.

I'm in the process of buying a Daystate Airwolf .22 40lb FAC what is the best pellet for this?
850 Airmagnum CO2 - .22
Crossman 88g cylinder. The results were recorded after I'd taken 100 shots.
D Nickerson Mag - 12.6gr - 8.82 ft/lbs, 561fps - Terrible quality.
Milbro Caled - 13.3gr - 11.1 ft/lbs, 612fps - inconsistent quality, but fast.
Accupel - 14.3gr - 10.4 ft/lbs, 573fps - OK, consistent but tight fit.
RWS S.dome - 14.5gr - 10.6 ft/lbs, 575fps - OK, consistent.
H&N FTT - 15.1gr - 11.2 ft/lbs, 577fps - Good.
RWS S.Field - 15.9gr - 11.4 ft/lbs, 568fps. Very good.
Bisley Premier - 17gr - 10.9 ft/lbs, 536fps. OK under 20yds,
The RWS Superfield at 15.9gr seems to suit my rifle between 10 - 25yds. Single hole groups. Drops about 5 inches at 40yds, but still carries a lot of energy.
Penetration - Target 1" thick chipboard , 20 yards
Accupel - minimal pellet distortion, penetrated to the pellet length
Bisley Premier - came back to me. 3mm deep dent in the target, pellet half flat.
RWS S.F. - flat pellet buried to about 2-3 mm (3 further shots punched a hole)
I'm still testing
