new to forum, not new to airguns.

hi all as the title suggests iam new to this very fine forum but not to other forums and definatly not new to the world of airgunning but did take a long break when my days were spent raising a family and fly fishing.

anyhow didnt see a section on here for introductions so hello all, love an old pellet discussion so was drawn to this thread for my first post.

iam currently only using a modded old crosman 760 dating back to the sixties a real nice version of it all metal parts not the cheap plastic crap you get today. and i find that with this RWS hobby and gamo pro match flathead pellets work superbly and also double up as effective close range pest control pellets.

    cheers all, james.

[B]Daystate x2 r sports .22 [B] likes Airs Arms Field, will comfortably group under an inch at 30m------Dislikes Accupels as they jammed

BSA Lightning .22liked Accupels then went onto Air Arms field still good groups.(only because i was being tight using same pellets)

As of yesterday it regrouped using Accupels, from sitting at 25m 1" although i did spot its trajectory looping off left and back in.

I plum for a tin of RWS Superdomes anyone wanna argue??
    BSA Lightning with a bipod - Hawke niteye 3-9 x50 mil dot illum reticle. Daystate x2sports r - NVS4900 NV. Spare Simmons 3-9 x 40 scope.

both my hw100's my 97k and hw99s all are .177 and seem happiest with jsb exact 4.52,
    my son has a hw99s in .22 and it works best with h&n ftt/weihrauch f and t
he has tried rws superfield and they group well but drop quickly it seems maybe its because they are heavier, typically with h&n's he gets a group around 18-20mm at 25yards rested
last weekend i did a session with the 97k and got groups of between 10-12mm with the exacts rested at 25yards
the hw100s do pretty much single cloverleaf holes at 25yards off a harris bipod
the hw99s does around 15mm c/c 25yards rested with jsb's,i'm fitting a v-mach kit to it and having a bit of a fettle with it so will see if it groups any better
my alecto prefers hobbies and accupels and my hw45 likes hobbies and h&n ftts
    hw100t/mtc viper 4-16x50,,hw100k/nv scope,,hw97k/3-12x44sr6,,hw99s all .177
    hw99s,,bsa supersport,,relum tornado lg15,,all .22
    webley alecto,,hw45,,milbro cougar all .177

    BSA R-10 Mk2 .177

Best pellets(giving less than 10mm grouping at 35 yds with 10 pellets fired)

In order of grouping smallest diameter to largest diameter:

    Bisley mags
    Crosman premier ultra magnum
    RWS Superpoint
    H&N Field Target Trophy
    Daystate rangemaster Li
    Accupell

Bis mags and crosman ultra magnums where pellet on pellet at this set distance. outdoors with a mild wind
    .177 BSA R-10 Mk2
    200lb Armex Titan Camo
