I'm having trouble with Marksman pointeds, either that or my Beeman P17 pistol.

I'm resting the gun in as near as possible the same position each shot on a workmate (locating it in between the wooden clamps), and getting grouping of about 3.5" over 10 shots at about 6m.

Either they're atrocious pellets for the Beeman, or the gun has properly lost its marbles. Got some RWS Gecos on the way, so hopefully they'll remove all doubt as to what's causing the issue/what is the issue.

One thing I noted is that the Marksmans are terribly inconsistently manufactured, and there are an awful lot of scrap pellets in the tin.

Um, A) pointed pellets are crap.

    B) Marksman isn't exactly the best pellet make I can think of

Yeah, yeah, I know Marksmans/pointeds are generally pap.
I'm just surprised they're apparently THIS bad! Hopefully it's the pellets, not the gun!

Back when I were a lad (!), Marksman pellets seemed to be the only brand you could buy. Maybe that's because they were the only brand that could be bought locally, and my Grandad CBA to go further to get something better!

Basically, to make sure it's not straying off topic... Avoid Marksman pointed

Why you'd want pointed pellets for shooting paper however is anyone's guess, to make sure you get a clean kill?
