I used .177 accupels with my fn12 with very good results, I am about to try some different crossmans, the pointy ones, can't remember what they called.

Hello all.
I am a retired man who loves his shooting - of all sorts - benchrest, 1000yd, hunting, clays and again at last air gunning. Airguns had to be licenced in South Africa until recently, and as the number of firearm licences were limited, many, including myself rather went for their most needed firearms.
I travel a lot and am in the UK frequently. So I bought myself a Daystate AirWolf MVT FAC in .177 cal. I mounted a MTC Viper 4 to 16x50 scope on it, and it is great.
I have had a lot of fun trying different pellets and being amazed at how much the wind moves the pellet, even at 25yds.
As it is illegal to fire any firearm (includes airguns) in an urban area, its not quite as easy as shooting in the UK.
I will add a few pellets to the list as I get them.
All shot at 25yds 5 shots to stabilise fps - then 5 shots for group
all shots from 10 shot magazine
H&N Diabolo Baracuda extra heavy .177cal (4.5x) 10.5grns 850fps (16.9ftlb) groups sub 2mm consistent - as small as .2mm
Daystate .177H .177cal (4.52) 10.25grns 650fps (9.6ftlb) groups avg 5mm
Daystate .177H .177cal (4.52) 10.25grns 720fps (11.8ftlb) avg 4mm
Air Arms AA Field .177cal (4.5x) 8.4grns 800fps (11.94ftlb) groups avg 5mm
Crosman Accupel .177cal (4.5x) 7.9grns 825fps (11.94ftlb) groups avg sub 4mm
Crosman Accupel .177cal (4.5x) 7.9grns 900fps (14.21ftlb) groups avg 6mm (always 1 flyer taking a 3mm grp out to 6mm)
That's about it for now. Sorry about the long post.
Go well
Bruce
Hello again - 2 more pellets
All shot at 25yds 5 shots to stabilise fps - then 5 shots for group
all shots from 10 shot magazine
Crosman Premier Heavy .177cal (4.50) 10.5grns 850fps (16.85ftlb) groups avg 1.5mm
Daystate Rangemaster HE.177ca (4.50) 8.5grns 850fps (13.64ftlb) groups avg 2mm

best i have put through this gun
hi toby i shoot a hw95 in 177 my gun likes JSB exact diabolo
Good idea this...
My Ratty is more than happy with Crosman HPs in .22 at 14.3gr and hates RWS. Seem to get a perfect barrel fit with the CHPs, oddly enuf!
The 850 works best with RWS SHP or Superfields. The SHP work really well.
Both utterly hate TAC2- bought a few to test out as they looked "interesting"-I know they aren't really a CO2 pellet, but worth a try. Hopeless FPS/Ft Lb in the Ratty, and did not agree with the 850's bolt action at all.
The S&W 586, well Laza's usually, but for plinking, a CHP in .177 does the job very nicely.
Hi
I have found that the Air Arms Diablo Field pellets give me the most accurate and consistent pattern when used with my Daystate Harrier single shot zeroed at 100yds.
Good luck with the website which should be a help to many people - it took me a while to settle on the Air Arms.
theoben rapid .22 anshcutz barrels - h and n ftt or air arms fields
theoben rapid .177 anschutz barrels - bislery mags
falcon .22 walther barrels - rws super dome
bsa barrels in .22 love air arms fieldss or jsb exacts
webley vulcan .22 / 12 foot pounds = Prometheus Paragon Z1, 14.5gr
crosman 2250b .22 / 9 foot pounds = rws super-h-point ,14.2gr
umarex beretta px4 storm .177 pistol / 3.5 foot pounds = rws hobby 7.0gr
ive only really used acupell .22 in my webley raider and both me and my son found them good
just my thoughts

Taken from an indoor benchrest at 25yds with the same fixed power 24X fine crosshair scope. All pellets are .177 and any that did not fit were manually fully seated.
RWS 52 shoots JSB Exact Heavies 10.2gr best and just loves this pellet. It shot Supermag 9.3gr and Premier 10.5gr decent but less consistant.
HW97 shoots RWS R10 Match Heavy 8.2gr (literally 5 shots through one wadcutter hole if I can hold it), Also shot one ragged hole with JSB Exact 7.9gr & Exact 8.4gr.
HW35 shoots JSB Exact 7.9gr, JSB Exact 8.4gr, H&N Field Target Trophy 8.64gr, RWS R10 Match Heavy 8.2gr. This gun is not finicky at all.
HW30S shoots JSB Exact 7.9gr, H&N Field Target Trophy 8.64, 8.4gr. I am going to try some 10M Match pellets around 7gr to 8gr because it really seems to like the light stuff.
Every gun shot JSB Exacts very well and little if any difference between the 7.9gr and 8.4gr. They all shot Crossman Premiers 7.9 OK but too many fliers and they did not seat well. All Gamo or hunting designed pellets shot like crap.
