    Daystate Harrier

Can a 4yr old Harrier be retro-fitted with the most recent valve and how mutch would it cost?

Why would you want the latest vavle? My old Harrier was as consistent on my New X. The only reason I had mine regulated was to increase the shot count.

I suspect that the latest valve can be fitted - but have no experience of this - a call to Daystate will solve it for you.

You could ask them what the benefits over the old valve are - I'd be interested too.

The later valve gives a flatter power curve, but with less usable shots per charge. If a conventional valve gives a curve like a gradual mountain, then the later MK3 valve fitted to the Harrier & X tends to behave like a table top mountain with steep sides! This is why if you overfill a Harrier X, power drops dramatically.

The earlier guns can be set up to mimic the later developments but complete change over wouldn’t be economical as it would mean a change in valve body, valve all the springs and some work on the transfer port as it is smaller on the later set-up.

    Hope this helps.
