    BSA 240 Magnum

i just bought a BSA 240 Magnum from the bbs, nice gun nice condition, one problem the breach seal is shot to pieces (literally), and am only getting half power if that because there is a big gap in the seal. My question is where can i get a new one, can anyone help as i cannot find one anywhere.

    Bsa

..Best would be to contact the BSA factory in Birmingham , ask to get thru to the Stores Manager ...that should do it .

Or you could make your own if handy - thick leather ( from a shoe repairer or craft worker ) cut with a punch and scalpel to trim .

I think Mk. I had an O-ring and a Mk.II had a more elaborate affair held in place by a small screw in the centre......

You can get the seals from John Knibbs, the early ones had a soft rubber disc shaped seal while the later ones had an o-ring in conjunction with a plastic washer. Both types were held in place by a small countersunk headed hex screw, the later o-ring-plus-washer style fits all of the pistols and is a good upgrade as it's harder wearing.

I am pretty sure that's the case.
