Hornet, diff between Mk1 and Mk2?

Could anyone tell me what are the differences between the Mk1 and the Mk2 Hornet? Any outward differences?

I know some of the early ones had problems. Was this related to the different marks?

Also - when did the Mk 2 come out?

No such beast as a Mk2 but latest models have a safety, older ones don't. Any problems were very quickly ironed out and were mainly to do with pellet probe o-rings

Later ones had a slightly different shape on the pistol grip that increases the gap between grip and trigger guard.
