    Ah well Jim
consider the EB cheaper to buy but running costs are higher but what a lovely compact pistol.

HW45 dearer to buy and cheaper to run but longer and heavier.

Both great pistols thats why I got both among others which I must list on here soon.

    Cheers Eric

In all seriousness, Eric: we both know that I'm going to end up with a boatload of them!

Although the EB is fun mine took some work to sort out. First, the plate that the bolt engages with to hold the bolt shut was incorrectly positioned, so that the bolt blew open when the pistiol was fired. I had to remove it, elongate the fixing holes, and refix. And the trigger was terrible, which wasn't too surprising when I saw how the sears had been finished, or rather not finished. Not too bad now I have polished them up.

So I'd say Crosman's quality control leaves a bit to be desired.

Quite a nice pistol once fixed though. Next project is to knock up some grips to replace the horrible brown planks it comes with.
