Ripley XL25

Anyone owned one of these guns? I've owned an XL9 and thought it was a great gun but what about the XL25.

Why did they stop making these models at Ripley were there any design faults, especially the 25 pellet loading system?

Any information would be appreciated as i am thinking of hunting one down, if not one of these maybe another Ripley XL9.

I found the xl25 very pellet fussy with the side loading magazines, bisley magnums were about the only pellet that didnt have a jam with, it also depends on the rotating magazine as you can get different thicknesses.

but i bought pellets in large batches so problems were very limited.

Judging by the response they are getting quite rare!!!!!

Hopefully, i will get to use one shortly and this will help me finally decide.

I used TDs FAC version for a while, superb gun, but I did find the linear mags a pain to be honest, kn if you are careful but will jam if you aint, unloading the mags can ba a laugh as pellets drop all over the place depending which way the rifle is pointing at the time

Superbly engineered but I would stick with the 9 shot version myself
