At lunch tried a few shots and seem to be getting a bit of variation using AA 4.52. @6m about 3" to 4" clusters, with the odd flyer. What is everyone else using?

Single loading by dropping a pellet into the barrel by hand. hey presto! down to 2 to 2.1/2".....

Definitely going to put some effort into this pistol to get it better, a full strip down coming up I reckon.
    Just need a 6" barrel.....

...was hoping you could tell Me ! Lol !!

What would ahppen if the linkage was disengaged - more initail power as hammer has a bit more kick - and valve shortens it lifespan ..

    Hey Russ,
Out playing silly beggars with me R-77 today (cus the neighbours have gone on Holls for 14 days YEEEEEEHHHHAAAAAAAAAAA)
I had real problems to start with though! I put Hustlers and H&N Silouhettes through the gun, Well tried to anyhow
I put in a fresh Crosman capsule and it only moved the pells down the cylinder a little but HUH? was my reaction what the #### is going on here?
Eventually opened the cylinder poped out the hustlers and put in the H&N!
Same thing happened and took me agaes to get the cylinder open as one was stuck nose first in the barrel!
Must be a dodgy cart I thought
I was about to replace the cartridge when a ####load of gas escaped as I turned the screw
Decided to try again with the cart, screwed in not so far! BINGO
I had put the thing in so tight, it wouldnt release the gas correctly!
Has this happened to anyone else?

Once this was sorted I got results!

    Tony,

With most Co2 rifles/pistols, they seem to advise releasing a bit after tightening fully up. Never done it with mine and haven't had a problem.

    Hi Zeron,

It's not sold anymore from what I can make out.
I was after a 6" barrel, but it looks as if you'll only be able to get the pistol secondhand nowadays (unless someone knows otherwise)

Not that I'm anal about this but here's a few piccies.

Have seen a mount for a scope/sight advertised, trying to get one.

Just as a quick aside, I've been messing about and found that when I shoot single stage :

The mechanism seems to stop 2/3rds of the way round when you cock it, and it doesn't complete the turn until you actually pull the trigger.

This then pushes the barrel up to the stop, just as the trigger hits home.

This seems to cause the pellets to fly 3-4" to the left @ 6/7metres.

If you push the barrel round the last bit up to the stop, then pull the trigger, shoots as intended.

is there any other revolver with a real action barrel??

You are thinking of a Brocock, sadly they are now illegal.

On a brighter note, I may know of a mint R-77 for sale complete with built in laser

PM me if you are interested.

I know where i can pick up one of these second hand.
The seller claims it is in good condition and wants £50 for it.
    Does that sound fair?

    Regards chip.

If I remember correctly, I paid around the same.
I love it and I was surprised by the accuracy of it
