    long range continued-:)

went up to the range early this morning, beautiful day, the sort we get accustomed to in Summer season, 26degrees celcius and i had a wind varying from a 3mph breeze increasing occasionally to 7mph.

i downloaded one of the nosler targets and shot the prarie dog at 120meters. i had 4 hits out of 6 on this one and almost all are in the head region. then i placed a paper to try a shoot for group but not much luck, even though i had just corrected the wind blew my last shot right altough for 5-6mph its a respectable one. later on during the day i still managed to pull off one good group just over an inch.

    here are some photos

can you shoot them out at that range? with the proper equipment and attention to surroundings yes, 4 out of 6 is still a good percentage i feel.
love this shooting, it just gets more and more interesting however i do have to film some more videos.
    enjoy

hi mate, my 25 has been performing flawlessly and it always gives me alot of pleasure. the only one fault i have is the taper of the butt. when i shoot sometimes i notice that because of the quite pronounced taper the rifle moves slightly down at the butt and it causes me to hit slightly high, not enough to miss a rabbit but when im trying to squeeze 4 shots into a small group at extended ranges i have to be very careful. i might infact ask the stock maker to get an extension added to that part under the butt. it might not make it look that great but will shoot better off the bench.
there are about 3to4 good choices of pellets for the .25, in my experience H&N make the best one and has the most consistant lots. all those groups are shot with pellets out of the tin, no sorting except that i check if the skirt is uniform. if its not i throw it away because it will result in a lower POI.
the barrel cover is purely aesthetic and surves no particular purpose. hopefully i get to film some more this week as yesterday i had the video cam with a dead battery!
