    HW35E power level

Anyone advise me on the ideal power level to have my HW35E (.22) set at please. I am using Superdome 14.5 grains and at 11.8 ft.lbs it seems a little harsh and I don't want to damage the gun

.177 Superdomes should not weigh 14.5 grain.

Get it tuned down to 10.5 ft1b and it will be as sweet as a nut

Thanks for all the replies. Seems 50/50 between 10.5 and 11.8 so I may try lowering the poundage and comparing the accuracy. The HW35E is a 1981 model with the old leather washered piston replaced with a new type piston and seal
    Thanks again

I agree to lowering the power to under 11 ft.lbs and see how it goes. I have learnt that only well tuned examples of '35s (e.g. Normay Vixens) shoot well at the higher velocities. The beauty of the '35 is that they are so easy to work on.

    Good luck.
