    Pistol Silencer

    Hi Guys,
Has anyone got any plans or ideas as to how to make a small silencer?
I purchased one for my CP99 (dedicated with the bracket) and I was not impressedat all
When I complained to the shop I got it from he told me "Well its for asthetic's isnt it?"
I need one that will cut down the sound not one that looks good
I am now out of work so purchasing a new one is out of the question.

    Suppressors

The principal is pretty straightforward - mounting is the problem, since any misalignment will cause the pellet to hit the silencer.

    These pages might help:

    Cheers Jethro,
Looked at those links, very interesting indeed.
I knew the theory behind them.
Just need to convert the heap of crud I have to something that will allow me to play in the garden!

    Thanks again

    Tony,
I'm in the first stages of making my own for a rifle, and an adaptor for my pistol(s). I'll let you know how I get on.
Got some different lengths/dia's of plastic conduit, washers and packing etc.

Hi Russ, Thanks for that. I saw somewhere a while back somewhere someone had used penny pieces or similar to build one!

I got my my R-77 this morning, cant play outside with it yet though as its blowing a gale. (Will continue with this on your original r77 thread.)
I look forward to seeing your results mate.
