Try 18 grains of black powder for a single shot percussion pistol and 24 grains for a rifled flintlock. Smoothbore flintlocks do best with about 30 grains. All this is for .44 pistols. It will give you a starting point.

    Talking filler

hi rapid, you dont need filler in a single shot, we only use filler in revolvers because when loading the cylinder you dont want the ball going too low because it has to jump across from the cylinder to the barrel so you want the ball seated as near flush with the edge of the cylinder as poss if you see what I mean, on a single shot the powder and ball is rammed directley into the barrel so the ball is allready in the barrel, phew hope this explains it, cheers Tezz

    powder charge

Pedersoli Lepage, my charge is normally 22grns of TS2 with a .010" patch and a .435" ball. Patch is soaked in wonderlube that has been blasted in the microwave. Any old primers as the Lepage isnt fussy and away you go.
