I am content with an early tilt barrel JW 50 with thumbhole and sporter stocks, 0.177" & 0.22" barrels, a lovely rifle to look at and shoot. set at 11.7 fpe in 0.177" (so dare not use a 0.22" without detuning). Precision engineering at its best!

I've got the 0.22 barrel for mine as well but John gave me instructions on how to swap barrels along with a small grub screw type thing that apparently will allow the power to be reduced when the 0.22 barrel is attached (not tried this yet though)

    JW 50

I don`t think power adjustment was featured on the early tilt barrel models such as 50-0028 for example.

    I owned a JW60FB, Serial # 0001

Sold it back to John in a time of need and abject stupidity .

It was the most accurate air rifle that I've ever shot.

I wonder where it is now, being well treated I hope.

    stock

trying to get a Sportster stock for my mk1 and have spoken to Custom stocks and they so not have the settings for the early ones. /they can do a MK 2 stock and its not too expensive but the cylinder is slightly bigger on the MK 2 so there will b a slight gap around it when on a MK 1, but i think its worth a go as i am unlightly to find a MK1 sport stock out there . Unless you know diffrent ( note i did get a GC2 stock out off a members loft )

£1000 plus they are very difficult to find used you are just very lucky if you find one.
I found my used one through word off mouth and had to buy unseen and hope for the best.
