How about a timed shoot, similar to PP and instead of the target turning, the shooter has to turn, just a thought.

I'm condidering building my own target turning device, I'll let you know how I get on

    I done >THIS<

    Good idea.

Looking at the votes so far 9 saying keep it as it is / 6 saying change it, comments suggesting a side shoot only, the main shoot will carry on with the excisting names.

    I've come up with.

Leave as it is with the main comp, but have a side shoot with one of the 'fun' targets & have a different one each month. The side shoot will be open to any pistol with any sights. There won't be a leader board as the targets will change each month, whether we come up with different ideas for each month such as 'northern35s', will also be in consideration.

I'll start the side shoot at next months Comp. There will be a new thread for the time of the main/side shoot & a poll for you to put your name down for the side shoot.

What I will ask is, as soon as you have done the competition could you submit the scores as early as possible, so I can enter them on the score sheet through out the week.

Can't say fairer than that can I

    Regards
    Paddy.

We'll'll have to change Paddy's tag line to Snow White if he's the 'Fairest of them all'

Add me to the side shoot list with a Falcon FN6WG Raptor fitted with a scope of some sort.

    Cheers

I guess there's nothing else for it but to fit the aimpoint sight back onto my howitzer and go for the side shoot too, put me down for Webley Nemesis .22 and Webley Aimpoint sight

    Lightbulb

I'm up for leaving it as is but having another category for pistols with sights: that would give me the opportunity to use the recently neglected Nighthawk. Shame about the dreadful trigger, but I'm used to it now.

Not bothered whether it's a side shoot or a fifth category for sighted pistols only. Also not bothered about what targets we use, although the Target Bunny additions would certainly be a novelty and should keep the comp from going stale.

Here's another idea prompted by Snooper601's excellent advice on page 1 - how about a sticky for "Pistol Shooting Tips" that we could all add to and hopefully learn and improve from?

Edit: Whoops forgot to say please enter me with Walther Nighthawk / Walther Top Point red dot cheers.

    Hi Guys,

I've done a seperate sheet for the side shoot, with all the names that have asked to be included so far.

I shall do another thread for August Comp & Side shoot with dates & rules, by the end of the week.

    Regards
    Paddy.
