Webley Hawk Disassembly
I've just picked up a Webley Hawk mk 3 from a relative. It's a bit rough and I intend to smooth out the action.
Could anyone give me some instruction on taking it apart?
I've worked on a few air rifles in the past (Weihrauchs, BSA's) but never a webley and any pointers would be much appreciated.

Before I begin, does anyone know if the whole trigger mech must be removed before the mainspring will come out?

Much easier to take trigger out but watch where and how the bits go!
Remove sights/unscrew stock/remove trigger/Tap out pin and remove cocking arm/Break barrel, push in barrel plunger and knock out barrel pivot pin---watch out for plunger and spring flying/If you not got a spring compressor (and I aint) get help if you can and a piece of wood/I usually put the flat of the trigger block on the edge of the wood with the angled bit hanging over/Push down and tap out cylinder end pin and release spring slowly(rigger gloves help sometimes)/remove spring/remove piston/ Ease two split piston rings off piston and give it all a good clean.
I hope that helps?

Excellent, thanks. Just taken it apart without any problems. Now for a bit of polishing.

Sorry matey, we don’t have a facility or function that can merge threads/posts unfortunately. Best thing to do is for you to start a thread with the title you wish then post links to relevant threads within it . Atb: G.
