    Cheater Slings

Anyone know where to get these?

Tried the usual suspects (uttings, the airgun centre, BAR), but cannot find them anywhere. Alternatively, try and explain to me how they work in enough detail so I can make one (pics would be helpful if you have any. Thanks guys.

The Cheeter is available from Target sports of Bolton.

Its basically an elastic ended 2 part sling. The ends have elasticated loops which when doubled back on themselves form a tightening noose which fasten round your stock and forend / barrell

Adjustment is made by studs on both halves - you choose which ones to pop together for the right length

The whole idea is to carry the gun in front of you leaving hands free operation and ease of bringing to aim.

    No pics sorry

    Hope this helps

p.s. It might be of interest to those who don't know that BT( Brtish Telecom) have a website which gives you free directory enquiries. You get about 10 FREE a day every day and so many a month if you sign up. Their doesn't seem to be any catch if you sign up.

    Thier website is: www.bt.com/directory-enquiries

Quickie on these - if you wrap the end round the barrel/cylinder of a s410 - will this affect accuracy?

I always took these to have a semi-floating barrel, so I'd expect a dirty great sling wrapped round the end wouldnt help!

    TIA,

    Dan
