I think that both the Ginb stock woods are relatively heavy. I personally prefer the dark 'sono kembang' but candidly, although the stocks are very well made and shaped, I would only use Ginb if I actually wanted 'weight'-say in a dedicated target rifle. Walnut is-to me-much prettier and better for rifle stocks but walnut doesn't grow in Indonesia and is in any case much more expensive. The reason Ginb stocks are so reasonably priced is that they use native hardwoods.
