scope length for a theoben evolution

could someone please tell me what the maximum length of scope that i could mount on my evolution. i am using a pro-mount dampa mount at the moment if that make a difference.

i like the look of the bushnell elite 3200 4-12*40 which is 13.2" would it fit, if not what would you guys recommend with ao under 13".

Hi,

The scope you mention should be okay on the Evolution. I have a Bushnell Trophy 4-12 x 40 scope (12.5 inches long) on my Evolution and the front of the scope is approx 1.5 inches from the breech. On this basis the maximum length scope you could fit is 14 inches although above average eye relief would reduce this length. Hope this helps.

I'm very pleased with the scope. the sight picture is bright and sharp and the zoom and AO rings operate very smoothly.

I bought the scope from Opticswarehouse.com in Devon for £175 plus £8 carriage. This is cheaper than the official importers RRP but, I suspect, more than price from the US.

For your info opticswarehouse do the Elite 3200 4-12 x 40 scope at approx £270 plus carriage.

yeah i made my mind up and chose a simmons whitetail expedition 4-12*42 from the us i am paying $200 including airmail, so even with any duty it is a bargain compared to the £275 +postage odd in the uk. it is 13.25 so hopefully it will be okl.
