Just a guess but is it hit rate as opposed to kill/knock down rate? I.e peeps on 58 hit all 30 targets but didnt knock two of them down?

Or indeed the figures could just be wrong

Barry, I think all the percentages are of the 1st place score

ie if somebody scored 29 that would be 50%.... Half of the 58..

    I might be wrong...

    Well done Lou,

Just looking at the scorecards for the team section and I notice that no Woodlands team members have shot any of the first 2 rounds????

I thought it was close enough for a few members to turn up?

Is it still going? Mark (Bigsby) I'm still waiting on my invite????

The percentage is from the highest score on the day, thus out of 58.

This is a standard way of working out percentages allowing for the difficulty of the course and weather conditions, so you can compare percentages between 2 different competitions and calculate gradings etc.

    Percentages Explained
There are 9 shoots in total this year, some will be more demanding than others some due to course layouts and others may be affected by the weather, The winners score on the day (whatever it is) will be 100%, every other score is a percentage of that.
Scores this year will be accumulated percentages not total points so the maximum possible score would be 600%, WHY? Well only your 6 best scores will count to the overall championship, percentages are a way of levelling the playing field.
Think of it as, there are no easy shoots nor hard shoots they are all the same.

(The Following line is not aimed personally at you Barry)

This is not open for general discussion, it is the way it will happen.

Thanks for the prompt reply and it has made things a lot clearer.

I think the Plymouth Team results have been shown as the results for Millride. I scored 48 there and only 42 at Millride.

I Can vouch for the soundness of that system. We do it that way in the NEFTA winter league.

Darren you shot worse than you remember
Scores from peg 1 to 30
    2,2,1,1,2,1,0,2,1,1,1,1,2,0,1,2,1,2,1,1,1,2,1,1,2, 2,1,1,1,2 =39

I with the aid of modern technology only add up the scores on the card returned to me CLICK HERE FOR YOUR SCORE CARD . I have you card unblemished apart from a dirty mark in the middle in front of me now and all is as posted.
I have nothing to gain from posting incorrect score on the BBS.
I sugest you speak to either Dave Baines or Tony DeCross you shooting partners who must have scored you card wrong mate (only possible answer).
Meanwhile I will take all the cards from millride to Lea Valley at the weekend where your more than welcome to check any you wish. I have all the cards from all event and will keep them untill the season ends
But when you see it please don't forget to tell all the folks "Lou was, right", as you may have sowed the seed of doubt in everyones mind mate.
