    Early Airsporter sights

I recently acquired two rough Mark II airsporters, both GD prefix.
They both have the wide spaced double grooves for a telescopic sight.
Both appear to have a foresight which is the same as the Mark I airsporter, one of which has a Mark I type sight hood. The rear sight is missing on one, the other has a Mk I type rear sight. My Mark II, prefix GE, has what are normally accepted as Mark II sights, the rear the fold down type, as well as continuous grooves for a telescopic sight.
    My questions are:
Are the sights fitted to the GD prefix correct?
Or could they have been retro fitted?
Or was it luck of the draw at the factory as old stock was used up?

Any observations on the above welcome.
    thanks

I recently aquired a rear sight for a friends MK1 airsporter (the none fold down type) this did not fit and eventually required the fold down type to fit the dovetail.
I think there have been many variations according to what was available at the time.

    Regards Mike
