    Hw45

    HI

Just rebuilt and tested my HW45

It's doing 4.14 ft/lbs in .22 with old Eley Wasps.

I have used minimal grease and the dieseling has stopped.

Is the power likely to raise with use or have i used too little grease?

It was only doing 4 and a bit ft lbs before i stripped it but dieselling badly.

    Cheers

    Russ

What condition were the seals in when you stripped the gun?

The cylinder end seal is so easy to damage when taken in/out. That said - how old is the spring?
I found when I previously did the same with my hw45 is settled down within a few shots.

    Hiya buddy

    New spring, new seal

It might be the barrel is not flush upto the breech, I'll try jimmying the barrel along a bit so it's closer to the breech when slide closed.

I'm not power hungry but 5 ft lbs would be great.

    Any other ideas pal?

    Cheers Russ
