Recommend me a Springer - Options in Private Sales?

After much deliberation I have finally settled on a Springer instead of a PCP as it suits my needs better.

There are many options and different variations of rifle as many of you may know and it becomes tricky to pick something out if you aren't quite in the know and have a lack of experience.

I'm looking to spend £250 and if there are any suitable options in the For Sale section that someone may want to point out and have their say then that would be perfect!

    Also I am left handed.

    Ideally would prefer postage.

I must say that there are some good offeres on the H95K at the moment that are appealing, although I do like the look of the H97K, any opinions on those two rifles?

Any advice or recommendations for rifles in The For Sale section at the moment that meet my budget would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Greg

    Hi,
i would hold your horses a little as some verry high priced rifles that can be bought new in the sales.
theres a bargain lightning in there for £160 i have enquired about but if he wont deliver, i wont be buying, you may be able to collect so have a butchers.
do as much research as you can before you buy as the last thing you want is to buy a used item that you could of bought new or even added £10-20 and bought new witha 4x32 scope.
good luck and welcome to the never ending want game

I believe the stock on that is for a right hander, is it not?

A rifle suited to a lefty is required.

    Thanks

The 95 and 97 are both excellent rifles. The 97 is heavier and so is easier to shoot accurately, at the cost of a couple of extra pounds weight, its more of an HFT rifle than the 95. The 95 will do just as well once you get with the springer technique. I would recommend the 95 for your particular needs, its a pleasure to shoot and cheaper than the 97. If you focus on getting a nice left-hand one, preferably with a V-Mach or Venom stage one kit fitted, then that will save dithering about thinking about other rifles, you can't go wrong with a 95.

Thanks for the info, now I just need to wait for a good condition 95 or 97 to come along suited to a lefty, I'm guessing they don't come along on a regular basis.

I shoot an HW80k left handed and it has a right handed stock. It's not really a problem to be honest

Is that universally agreed that you can shoot just as well with a right handed stock if you are shooting left handed and vice versa?

Not all right-handers are suitable. You must try for fit before you buy...

Ideally I would go along with this but I'm no where near any local rifle stores so postage is going to be the only way for me, going to be a fingers crossed scenario.

The HW98 would be a good choice as it has an ambi stock, i am also left handed and mine is very comfortable to use. You should be able to pick one up in very good condition inside your budget possibly with a scope.

I am left-handed and can confirm that the HW stocks ARE leftie friendly.

    I have a 77K in a 97 stock and it is fine as a left-hander.
