There are some stalls which take swipe cards, but most don't. However, there are cash dispensing machines around the site, the only snag being that IIRC there is a £2 handling charge which is OK if you're taking £100 out but not so good if you want less.

Go with a wad of cash mate, slap it on the table and you could walk away with a steal.

BTW Craigs stall had some great bargains last year. I was with Bones when he got a nice scope at a good price , its well worth a look.

Now I'm Coterminus (Oooo Errrh misses) I'll be buying a shotgun at the fair this year. Really looking forward to it. I know beggar all about them, so be prepared for lots of questions near the time.

It's the one with all of the ladies standing around it and the devilishly handsome, very well endowed, virile, young assistant behind the counter....

...i'll ask him to post the location a little nearer to the time

The site is open almost continually for campers to arrive, etc, but the stalls tend to keep normal shop type hours,ie, 9-ish to 6-ish.

John Knibbs and Chambers specialise in spares and they are usually at the Gamefair mate so you've got a chance. If they haven't got the parts there they'll probably be able to order them for you.

I went last year to show my terriers and have a chat with the lads, but i still found it a bit boring.
The airgun bit was ok but nothing to write home about.
Could you possibly pass up the opportunity to meet all the known faces (names , signatures ) of the bulletin board? I'll go around looking for people with big signs on my back saying "I'm Micky Spillane, talk to me" I wouldn't miss this event if I'd won the lottery (if I had i'd buy the lot)
