MFR Are they Accurate at 50yds

I wan't to get a Theoben MFR, To get one I'll probably have to P/X my lovely AAS410 Thumbhole which is very accurate and relaible. Were talking purely .177 here. I'm worried if I get the MFR I'll be dissapointed and would have lost my baby (AAS410) Bench rested I can get 1/2 inch groups at 50 yards. It wouldn't be used for hunting really, So another question is would an MFR be a waste ? Opinions please, Cheers

Having fired a MFR belonging to a a friend of mine and owning two S410K but not thumbhole stocks.

    Why change?

I would get one and keep the S410.

    Arrow

    I have a Rapid 17 and a Air Arms 400 in .22

    Both very accurate guns.

Why change guns if they work well
Looks and feel do not always match accuracy and known comfort

The thought of giving this Goverment more VAT on a New gun is good enough reason for me not to change

Don't think you'll be disappointed, mine is accurate at 70 yards
This is shooting at paper, I'm not suggesting that it is an acceptable range for hunting!

Tigger, Thanks, I also know what you mean. A lot of people seem to have a hatred of Theobens for no apparent reason ?

They must be jealous eh? I love mine anyway. I fitted a Simmons 6-18x40 and use it for hunting and HFT. The perfect tool for both. BTW Theoben are very approachable and helpful these days.

    Chris.

nope not at all,to me a s10 is a poor copy of a fantastic gun(the rapid)its just that BSA barrels tend to shoot any thing you put in them.the rapid is the only gun i use so i aint slaging it of,ive used and owned most but the rapid is the daddy imo.
