will adjusting the length of the first stage have any influence on the length of the second stage?
and will adjusting the second stage pull weight have any effect on the 'free play weight'?

Yana, Dont know for sure but generally any adjustment to one will have an effefc on the others.
Based on Air arms - Daystate and HW units that is.
