    Calling all FT shooters,which mag

I was just curious really to see what mag everyone shoots on.Ive got a Nikko and have been ranging on full mag and shooting on full 50 mag,but I have been thinking I might do better lower the mag a bit to shoot. So what do most of you out there do,I know a lot of it might be down to personal preference but it would interesting to see what whats.So....?

I have a 10-50x56 and range find and shoot on full mag. The only time I use a lower mag is if I am having difficulty in acquiring the target.

10-50x56. Usually range on max and drop it back to 20-25 for the shot. Why shake more than you have to or is it too much caffine ?

Set scope on 35 parralex and 10 x mag and 35 top turret for hunters or hunting' May also use dialling if sniping from a static point and quarry is browsing and not alert,

have also found ranging on lower mags to be just as effective though. Now leaving it on 25 and only whacking it up to 50 for 45 plus yards or to try and confirm initial reading on lower mag if it doesnt look right.
In a battle of wits I refuse to engage with an unarmed person.
To one shot one kill, you need to seek the S. Kill only comes from Skill

I have the same scope on my Dommie. I range on full mag if the picture's bright enough and drop back to 20 or 30 mag for the shot. I drop right back to 10 mag for standing shots. It definitely helps me.

    Agree with Paul.
Range at 50 mag and drop back to 25 for the shot and 10 if it's a stander.

Actually hitting the target is a different matter.....

With my Nikko I range and shoot sitting shots on 40 mag. Its a little brighter than the full 50 mag and the ranging still works well.
Standers and kneelers on 10 mag.

I have a BSA Platinum 10-50x60 the big brother to the nikko big 60.
I range & shoot on full mag sitting. kneeling & Standing I rangefind on full mag & drop to 30mag to shoot.

sometimes thou, like some of the others above in any position if the targets hard to aquaire for any reason I will drop to lower mag to get the target. I'd probably shoot on lower mags if I had either a ladder reticule of Mill Dot in stead of the target dot/

    Hope it helps?

    Darren
