Is 'Gun Oil' the same as '3 in 1' oil ???

Depends on what your wanting to use it for?

If it is the SAME, it shouldn't matter - For oiling guns to keep rust off and general lubrication of linkages/moving parts etc.

Use what you like but add a dab of Youngs "303" so it smells like a gun

That's what I used a few years ago - 3 in 1 looks like the same stuff...

Should be fine for external use, I was just checking that you weren't going to use it for internal lubrication.

Grease is better for load bearing linkages, cocking pivot ect.
