    Probably because it's matchless.

    matchless

The matchless airguns were made by a gun dealer called Rod Hutchinson i believe who as a gun shop in Balby sth yorks. The origional guns were brass cylindered and i remember reading a test of one in the airgunworld /Airgunner in the mid nineties. The one i own was bought by a freind of mine for £500 this was the first alloy cylindered one they made and probably the last as it seems nobody else as even heard of them. How do you go about valueing something like this.

    hey up mate

i've seen an identical rifle to that (least, i think it was identical as it was a few years ago!)
i bought my daystate huntsman from a chap in homefirth, he had one that he told me an elderly gent had given to him, the valves were leaking and i don't think he knew what the rifle was, neither did i
i offered to buy it from him, he said ok but at a later date when the old feller wouldn't bother about it but i never got back to him as he pulled a dirty trick with me concerning a scope

nice original by the way, original are my favourite spring powered rifles
