    original mod 50 info please

    can any one help with information on an original mod 50 serial number 859 i think, as thats the only number i can find. i am after the year of manufacture and help finding a few spares. links to websites etc. i have been on chambers but the models shown are different. thanks for any help you can give me.

    Hi Dave,

    If its VERY SMALL numbers on the l/h side just below the scope rail I would think that this is the month and year (August 1959) of manufacture.

    thanks the numbers are under the loading tap , no scope rail on this one just fixed sights . can we put pictures in this section again now.

    thanks for the email .

    it does not have the e stamp just model 50.

    Interesting thread. I too have a 50 knocking around in the gun cabinet, but I don't use it as it doesn't shoot very well.

    Be nice if I could find somehwere decent that could fettle it for me to get it back up to scratch.
