Sounds like a very good possibility to me jim, ok guy's let's get an idea of numbers, how many of you are up for a meet, even if your not part of the ubc and want to put faces to names, not a problem just join up it's free.

Jim and Jan, get you digital camera out and take a photo of each other and send it to me at gallery@umarexboysclub.co.uk and we can put faces to your names as you are not going to be able to make it this time round, but let us know in advance next time you are coming to our little country and we will try and combine a meet for you.

Jan's the technowhiz, and the more photogenic of the two, so I'll let bring it to her attention.

why not try the greyhound club in coventry, ask simmo1198 if the club can help the ubc out.

its behind a decent pub, good canal for fishing, good plinking range, competition lanes if you fancy a bit of hft/ft and should be enough room for camping.
there are travelinns and travelodges about 10 minutes away by car in nuneaton(m6 j3 & a444) and coventry(m6 j2).

I shall contact simmo & see what we can come up with.

    Thumbs up Scottish UBC Meet

    So where do you suggest?
Same goes for Wales and N.Ireland/Eire.

Seriously let's get the first one done and see what needs to be organised before we expand. The UBC has only been going 6 months and we need to consolidate what we have done (and it's a lot) before we overextend.
Be fair, we could ask Jim McArthur or Sonora rebel to form Union and Confederate (now THERE'S a logo I want to see) branches. But what would be the point if we mess it up here?

    Still love the idea though

Well, I'm Union by birth (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: you may recall we gave you mates a lot of trouble in the 1770's and 80's , but Confederate by residence (New Orleans, Louisiana) and by choice - and we could have won that Late Unpleasantness with English or French help: OR, if we'd had enough sense to invade Washington after we kicked Yankee ass at First Bull Run (aka "Yankee Run")..., but, alas...

    Consider the Confederate branch started!

TONY, we'll have to work on a logo. (I wonder if they had cap and ball air pistols in those days?)

    Confederate Association

    Hi Jim
Must admit I thought you were too far North to form the Confederate Branch but you know best.
Afraid Tony is out of it for a while since he had a run in with the moderators. No I don't KNOW why because these things are never made public but I'm certain you and Jan can adapt some Confederate symbols for use. You need a better name than "Branch" but for any favour stay away from "Chapter".
Best of luck with the U.S. contingent.

Would sign it Jim but sounds like an echo.

Oh no: if I were any farther south, I'd need to have webbed feet! LOL! Although, New Orleans is very much its own place: as European or Caribbean as it is Southern.

Let's see, what SHALL the Confederate contingent be named....???
