    Looks like a large caliber - .380?

    I've never seen one before---and it's larger in calibre than you suggest.

    it appears to have a ramrod stowed under the barrel, so i reckon it may be a muzzle loader, possibly .44 or .50 calibre.

    would it be one of those big game guns that are custom made by an american chap? (can't remember his nam but he has a website

    you win!
    Well spotted---do you know anything about them?
    As I said, I've never seen one before.
    This one is in .410, and the guy who owns it says it is WAY over 12ft pounds!!!
    We had it going after a fashion,I think the seals are a bit leaky.
    There was a debate about its age too.
    Must be as rare as a rare thing!

    The scant info in The Blue Book Of Airguns - made by Armibrescia, Italy 1935 - 1947.

    I seem to remember Harvey doing a write up on the Setter shotgun in an early AGW. I shall try to find it.
