    cheapo springer pistol???

hi everyone im a rifle man mainly but i had bought a cheap break barrel springer pistol from italy a couple of years ago and loved it what a fun little thing, so i have seen things like the smk g10 that sort of thing i was wondering if you had any advice, thing is it needs to be VERY CHEAP £30ish preferably not co2 as i spend enough on co2 in my qb78 but if quite a few co2 carts are included then maybe. soooooo just wondered what sort of thing i am looking at here best thing for money, not bothered if i have to buy a better one secondhand,(any offers anyone)

    thanks

    Hi Jordan

I have one of THESE that I had as a project pistol - its been stripped and fettled and has been refinished !
Power is around 3 ft lbs which for a little break barrel isn't bad at all .
It doesn't have a rear sight so you will have to sort that out .

let me know if interested its a smk S2 westlake I think

I agree with Daves suggestion, the S2 would be better.
The G10 ain't worth its rate in scrap.

If you can stretch to £43 new, the Baikal IZH 53 is sound and should last a lifetime.
    Walther CP-2 Match, FAS 604 & Tau 7 target pistols, Smith & Wesson 6" & 4" co2 pistol, Crosman 1377,

I agree with Derek, the Baikal IZH-53 is superb value for money, it has an excellent barrel and trigger, it's an excellent pistol for the price and will probably outlast any chinese pistol!

I agree as well, got mine a few weeks ago, lovely target pistol, more accurate than I am, and learning about shooting with the recoil is so enjoyable ( I can hit the pistol section target now........).

    Definitely recommend it.

For the extreme low price, a G10 can't be beaten IMO. It has great looks, mostly metal construction (very rare in this price range!), longevity, popularity, and power (for its price!).

Sure they are nowhere near in the same league as the HW45 and others, but for less than £20 (second hand) you won't find better - I'm very sure of that! I sold mine on here last month for £18, had it for 12 years and it served me very well indeed

Has anyone ever chrono'd a G10? I'm interested in what ft/lbs they do with a metal BB, and with a .177 pellet.

I've got a G10, purely for the fact it was my first air pistol.
Apart from sentimental value they are a pile of Poo.

stay well away. Get an S2/S3 or 53M.
