    Collectable pics thread Mk2

Unfortunately the other big collectable pics thread was deleted because many of the contributions were uploaded for hosting by the BBS, using too much bandwidth.

So this time please post links to some pics of your favourite vintage or collectable airguns using Photobucket, Picturetrail or another pic hosting site.

Anyone who has mislaid pics of their guns from the previous pics thread let me know by PM - I kept copies of some of them.

Good point Gareth. Can anyone else with links to private galleries of their collectables publicise them here too please?

On that note, here is a link to Troubledshooter's excellent web gallery.

your falke mod80 looks rather like an airsporter...hmmmm, i wonder who designed the airsporter anyhow???

also, the Cogswell and Harrison 'Certus' Air Pistol looks bizzarre, almost home made!!

the mk3's have to be my fave's...they're lovely

    Hi John,

    Glad you like the pictures.

Yes the Falke is similar in some respects to the Airsporter, Only it is very over engineered compared to our own Airsporter. It has six screws holding the stock onto the action - hows that for overkill.

The Certus does look a bit wacky, however it is a very rare airgun and on the 'holy grail' list for a lot of pistol collectors. They have been known to change hands for £2000 + as not very many were made.

I am pleased you like the Webley Mk3's. The fluted stock one is in .177 cal, so even more desireable than the more common .22 ones. All got their 100% fully original finish too.....

    All the best

    Lakey

It turns out BBS member Co2 (Peter), who formerly ran the Vintage Airgun Forum, has placed copies of the VAF archive pics up in Photobucket.

He has provided two excellent links to a vast range of vintage airguns here:
