    Magazines with BP articles?

Can anyone recommend any magazines that have decent features on BP shooting? Particularly interested in product reviews - guns and kit relating to use, maintenance, etc.

    regards

They review a BP gun every issue. Good reviews too - warts 'n all.

Not a magazine but a useful website on BP Shooting - here

select 'Prior Editions' and you'll find stacks of articles in a newsletter format

Shooting Sports also occasionally has articles on blackpowder guns. Its not a bad mag but it tends to be full of whatever the editor is interested in at that moment. Right now that's fullbore rifle stalking but he has had crazes on AR15 rifles, Ruger 10/22s and BP cartridge rifles in the past.

Thanks for the posting, Steve, as I was just about to ask if there were any magazines devoted exclusively to BP.

I used to enjoy Dixie Gun Works 'Blackpowder' Annual but haven't bought it for a while. On their website you can buy 9 back issues for $10 - can't beat that for value!

Can you be an MLAGB member if you're not a UK resident?

Can you subscribe to their magazine without being a member?

    Jim,

I don't know for sure. As you're registered on the MLAGB forum you could enquire there.

Practically though with membership at £44 per year, I think it might be difficult to get value for money outside the UK.

    Steve.
