If it is propperly mint then yeah, I reckon so.

For that though I would have thought 100% blueing coverage, the etching being very clear, and no scratches or dents in the woodwork would be an absolute must.

And of course, a gun is only really worth what someone is prepared to pay for it, so its down to the individual

Yes definitely worth £100 in my book. Or put another way you couldnt make one for £100 these days. The machining costs alone would be worth that at least, without the cost of materials.
I would have said that a truely mint Cadet is worth about £120 and a truely mint Cadet Major must start at around £140 upwards.

In my opinion if it's truly mint, yes without a doubt. The survival rate of the Cadet in good condition seems to be nothing like that of the Cadet Major which turn up in good condition on a regular basis. The Cadet being a Junior Rifle for youngsters generally didn't get looked after so well and the last "Mint" one that I saw had an asking price of £125 quite some years ago.
Having said that, "Mint" means lustrous blue, clear white etching, undamaged screws etc, all wood and metal as good as the day it left the factory, not just "good condition for year" as some people seem to think.

Exactly what I was trying to say Vic,

A gun in truly "mint" condition is a exceptionally rare beast.

I see the term banded about all the time in the adds, when the gun in question is probably only in "very good condition for year".

If I had the dollar, and if one came up, I'd be prepared to shell out £120
for a true mint Cadet.

i took my bsa cadet to a gun shop in doncaster and he offered me 5 pounds so i told him to shove it and i kept them since
