    Still persevering with the Typhoon

    Here's today's group, shot single handed at 10m (maybe I should try a two-handed grip, but I'm more used to shooting that way):

    Not too bad, I think. It's off-centre because I don't want to use the windage adjustment on the rearsight, since it starts to alter the whole sight picture, but instead I'll just make any adjustments by widening the rearsight notch, which I want to do anyway.

    I should perhaps add, though, that the Typhoon is still not as pleasant to shoot as the Izh-53 - I've been trying that for the first time in a while as well - which is lighter, has a better trigger, sights and grip (mine's the older style, right-hand only grip - I think the newer ones are ambidextrous) and, if you don't mind the lower power (I don't) is much easier to cock.
